Your Guide to Everything November in the Daytona Area

Halloween's over. Now what? 

Don't worry, there are plenty of events going on in the Daytona area during the month of November to enjoy with your families! 

In this month of giving, cultural celebration, festivals and "cooler weather," it's time to get outside, explore, take part in educational excursions and find your family fun!



Classes and Ways to Get Involved in the Community:

  • The Farm Tour:
    • Did you know that there are 1,500 farms in Volusia County? On November 19th, from 9:00 am to noon, the 40th annual Farm Tour is coming to our area! Residents can enjoy 8 of the 1,500 farms in the area and learn about where our local produce comes from! An amazing opportunity for families to take part in an educational adventure and get the inside scoop on the inner workings of our local farms. Volusia County Farm Tour! 2021 
  • The Volusia Basket Brigade:
    • Get involved in volunteering! The Volusia Basket Brigade is collecting food to build baskets during the month of November, for distribution to local families on November 20th. You can nominate a family here. Register to fill a box here. Or volunteer to help distribute the boxes here. No one deserves to be hungry on Thanksgiving! Help them reach their 2021 goal of 3,500 boxes.   • Free Educational Classes at Derbyshire Place:
  • Sea Squirts at the Marine Discovery Center:
    • Part of a monthly program provided to the community, The Sea Squirts Program introduces marine life to toddlers ages 3-5 years. Activities may include examinations of species both skeletal and alive, arts and crafts, stories, audio visual presentations, and games.
      Reservations must be made in advance for preparation of materials for arts and crafts. $5 per child and $5 for accompanying adults. On November 2nd and 3rd, the topic is Marvelous Mammals! Sea Squirts at Marine Discovery Center
  • Interaction with Animals at Parsley Lane Farm:
    • This local farm located in Samsula/NSB has events for the community constantly! Story Time at the Farm, features a local author, takes place every Tuesday and is free! Kids Yoga Class at Parsley Lane Farm is the first and third Tuesday of the month and is only $10, which includes interaction with the farm animals. Parsley Lane Farm also often facilitates craft days, like this one Kid or Scarecrow Craft at the Farm, on November 4th. They even host monthly open air markets, which feature local artisans and vendors, taking place on November 6th this month: Parsley Lane Marketplace. During any of these events, swing by their Little Free Library and find a book to bring home.


Art Festivals, Fairs and Fantasy Nights:

  • Pirates on the Edge:
    • A super unique fundraising event presented by Edgewater Rotary. Pirates on the Edge takes place on November 13th and includes a pirate invasion, a magic show, scarf dances, live music and a pirate ball! 
  • Studio 85 Princess Ball:
    • Bring your princesses dressed in their favorite royal attire! The selfie studio is transforming its front room into a dance floor. There will also be a tea party! Adults encouraged to dress up too for Studio 85s Princess Ball taking place on November 13th. 
  • Gingerbread Holiday Light Display:
    • Catch a glimpse of Christmas early with the Gingerbread Fantasy Holiday Light Display at Rose Villa. Starting November 19th and running through January, the free holiday light display. boasts gingerbread men, lollipops, snowmen, stained glass and lights. 
  • Daytona International Magic of Lights:
    • Magic of Lights at the Speedway also begins on November 19th and runs through January. A drive through holiday light display occurring every night. Tickets available here. $20-25. 
  • The Volusia County Fair 2021:
    • Perhaps one of the November events people look forward to the most is the Volusia County Fair 2021 and for good reason! What screams Fall more than sitting in a Ferris wheel, overlooking the rides while eating a caramel apple? From November 4th-14th, Volusia residents can enjoy petting zoos, livestock, illusionists, circus extravaganzas, live music and more. Purchase advanced tickets here. 
  • The Tomoka Fall Festival:
    • The Tomoka Elementary 2021 Fall Festival includes bounce houses, food trucks, a DJ dance party, face painting, a photo booth, and a bucket dunk. Pre-sale wrist bands are $5 or $10 at the door. Don't let the fall festivities end with Halloween. Check out this festival on November 5th.
  • The Halifax Art Festival:
    • The 59th Annual Halifax Art Festival! is a two day event you don't want to miss! Find everything from fine art to fine crafts at the historic downtown waterfront area of Daytona during the 2nd oldest continual art festival in the state of Florida.
      As you stroll the streets and peruse the artwork, enjoy international street cuisine and festival food! November 6th and 7th.
  • The Flamingo Follies Art Festival:
    • The Flamingo Follies Art Show is an outdoor event that will feature artists and crafters from around Florida. Get unique gifts for the holidays! Admission is free! Flagler Avenue parks and restaurants will be participating. November 13th.
  • One Daytona Art Festival:
    • One Daytona Art Festival is a fine art festival featuring juried fine artists and non-juried fine craft artisans at ONE DAYTONA. The art festival is held at ONE DAYTONA (a shopping and entertainment destination in Daytona Beach) and offers an opportunity for local and visiting art collectors to experience culture and refinement over the course of two days with high-end and craft fine art, music by a live musician on the stage in Victory Circle, artist talks at Gallery500, and cash awards to attract the best fine artists. November 13th and 14th. 
  • Daytona Turkey Run:
    • From November 25th through November 28th, the Daytona Turkey Run is a tradition for classic car lovers. A giant automotive swap meet full of vendors and car shows!

Food Food Food!

  • Food Trucks in the Shores:
  • St Demetrios Greek Festival:
    • The 44th Annual Greek Festival 2021 begins on November 11th and continues until November 14th. Enjoy Greek food, culture, dancing and more! This four day event happens once a year and has authentic and delicious Greek cuisine from Pastitisio to Baklava. With a view of the water, you can indulge on all the delicious treats this festival has to offer while watching Greek dances and demonstrations. A Daytona Beach yearly staple. This year, they are introducing preorder takeout (online).
      The festival will be 11:00-9:00 pm Thursday, 11:00-10:00 pm Friday and Saturday and 11:00-7:00 pm Sunday!
  • Riverfest Seafood Festival:
    • On November 20th and November 21st, The Riverfest Seafood Festival 2021 is coming to Ormond Beach. FREE two-day celebration w/ fresh seafood, live music and more! Boat rides, paddleboarding, kids zone, free kids fishing clinic and pole giveaway! Pet and family friendly! Free shuttle every day from City Hall and beachside parking lots. 
  • Battle of the Food Trucks:
  • BBQ and Bluegrass Festival:
    • What's better than food and music? BBQ & Bluegrass Festival is hosted by South Daytona annually. Food from various vendors, beer from the beer garden and live Bluegrass bands! Activities for the whole family! Also taking place November 20th. 


From food festivals to pirate invasions to farm tours, November isn't only about Thanksgiving any more! It's about being thankful for all of the diversity that Volusia County has to offer!
