Description
Ages 5 to 12 (accompanied by a parent/grandparent) are invited to experience an in-depth tour of the Museum’s memorial garden led by OMAM Garden Artisan Janett Taylor. Springing from the Garden’s 140 native and exotic plants is the Leopard Lily, also known as the Blackberry Lily. This flower will serve as the creative inspiration for the watercolor activity. Students will learn various techniques and create a one-of-a-kind floral painting under the guidance of OMAM’s Curator of Youth Programs Diamond Johnson!
Most supplies are included with tuition, but each student will need to bring their own 8x10-inch mixed media sketchbook. The instructor will provide floral reference photos, a visual demonstration and instruction.
Tuition (per child): $15 Museum members; $18 future members
