What's Happening in the Daytona Area this Weekend!

There are so many events going on this weekend from Ormond to Edgewater that I wish I could be in five places at once! From carnivals to art festivals and food trucks, you could plan your family fun for all three days using the Macaroni KID Daytona calendar.   • Friday 02/25/22
    • Food Trucks & Daniel 'Saxman' Fuqua Concert : Enjoy gourmet food served out of 14 food trucks, plus live music by Daniel “Saxman” Fuqua, at the City of Daytona Beach Shores’ Food Trucks event from 4:30-8:30 p.m. 
    • Tanger Outlets Carnival : Enjoy midway fun for the whole family with rides and games for all ages and fair food for every appetite. Midway hours: 5-10 pm Monday - Thursday, 5-11 pm Friday, noon-11 pm Saturday, noon-10 pm Sunday. Multi-Day Event.
    • Sweetheart Dance : A fun night of food, dance, play and fun!! Open for child to bring any parent, family member or friend! Advanced tickets required; limited number available online only. 5:30-8:00 p.m. at Bizy Beaver Indoor Playground.
    • New Smyrna FL MONSTER TRUCKZ EXTREME TOUR : The Official Monster Truckz Extreme Tour is coming to New Smyrna Beach from Feb 25th to Feb 27th! Friday Feb 25 - 7:00pm. Come Two Hours Early for the Monster Truckz Extreme Tour PIT PARTY: (Open to all ticket holders) Meet & Greet with the Drivers & Truckz, Monster Truck Rides, Bounce Houses, Face Painting, Monster Truckz Souvenirs & Monster Truckz Concessions. Multi-Day Event. 
  • Saturday 02/26/22
    • PEOPLE & PAWS BEACH CLEANUP : Daytona Dog Beach, Inc. is pleased to host an exciting new event in 2022 that offers participants a chance to volunteer in a beach cleanup, while enjoying a leisurely stroll with their dog. 8:30 - 10:30 a.m. 
    • 5th Annual Chalk It Up! : The Hub on Canal 5th Annual Chalk It Up! Sidewalk Chalk Art Competition will be held Saturday, February 26, 2022, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. along Canal Street in New Smyrna Beach in conjunction with the Utilities Commission of New Smyrna Beach, the Canal Street Historic District, Art Fiesta and the City of New Smyrna Beach.
    • Art Fiesta NSB : Held in New Smyrna Beach’s centrally located Old Fort Park, a tree shaded relaxing downtown location that draws locals and tourists alike. Art Fiesta is a fun open-air event that showcases the artistic works of over 240 different artists and craft makers from throughout the state of Florida and beyond. Live entertainment and food trucks will also be present! 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday & Sunday.
    • POCC Arts & Crafts Show : DJ, Food Trucks, Ice cream & More! POCC's 2nd Annual Wheelz & Skillz will be on Saturday, February 26 from 9:00 a.m-2:00 p.m. Car show 9: 00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. 
    • February Pop Up Shop at Pines to Palms : Sip delicious coffee and support local by shopping small and supporting local vendors! 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Pines to Palms Coffee in Ormond.
    • Mermaids, Pirates & Seafood, Oh My!! : This themed event will feature: photo ops with mermaids and pirates, vendors with amazing products, kids game area, scavenger hunt for the kids, face painting, seafood food trucks and so much more. This fun for the whole family event will be located at the Riverwalk Park in Port Orange. Dress up as your favorite Pirate or Mermaid and come join the fun! 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 
    • 4th ANNUAL BEER & BACON FESTIVAL : Beer AND Bacon AND Live Music AND Art!! Join the Riverfront Shops of Daytona as they celebrate the 4th Annual Beer & Bacon Festival. Come enjoy craft beer, savory bacon, live music, art, and more while strolling the downtown shops, bars, and restaurants. 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
    • The Vegetable Butcher at Red Pig 3 Year Anniversary Party! : There will be a few new beer releases, special slushies, DJ Tim Baker and a special food pop-up from The Vegetable Butcher. They have plenty of courtyard seating, but also encourage you to bring chairs or a blanket to enjoy beer, food, and music in the courtyard. 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. 
    • Wonderland Ball : KEDA is hosting their first FORMAL DANCE! Bring your friends and join the Tea Party Wonderland Ball!! The Wonderland Ball is a formal social, with dance family and friends to promote “ALICE” -the Expressions Company 2022 Production! 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
    • Night Sky Viewing and Candlelight Tour at Gamble Place : Venture out to historic Gamble Place in Port Orange for an evening of stargazing and candlelight exploration. Enjoy a night tour of the Gamble Bungalow and the Black Forest Cottage to learn about the history of this unique hunting lodge. Weather permitting, join the planetarium team as they take their telescopes and laser pointers on a field trip to the forest to guide you through this wondrous evening. Guests are welcome to bring their own chairs, telescopes/binoculars, and curiosities about the universe. Be sure to dress for the weather. Parking is limited. 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
    • Dueling Pianos Live at Peanuts : There's no better way to spend Saturday night than watching the boys sing it out on stage with their pianos! These guys take requests on the spot from the classics to currents, while you enjoy singing out loud with them at the bar! Come early, grab a seat, and get ready to truly be entertained! 8:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.
  • Sunday 02/27/22
    • February Trash Walk : Join Keep NSB Clean and help clean up our community! Beach, park, parking lots, streets, etc. 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m at Grayce K Bark North Beach Park.
    • Sunday Craft & Vendor Market at the Pavilion at Port Orange : Sunday Markets at the Pavilion at Port Orange starting February 6th, 2022 to April 24th, excluding Easter Sunday. Craft & Vendor Market, not a Farmers Market, featuring local artists, vendors, crafters and more! 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
    • Flagler Ave Market Days : 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Shop the street alongside living windows, pop-up sidewalk fashion shows, artisans in action, sidewalk and in-store specials.
    • Flagler Ave Gumbo Festival : Nothing Says Mardi Gras Weekend like the New Smyrna Beach Gumbo Challenge! Enjoy unique and savory different types of Gumbos at host locations on Flagler Avenue and vote for your favorite! Winning Gumbo creations and their creators will receive the “Best at the Beach” awards.
