Helping Hands Family Chiropractic, LLC is a local business that prides itself on giving back to the community and truly lending a helping hand in every sense.
Owned and operated by Doctor Aneesah N. Farris, Helping Hands is not your typical chiropractor office.
While they do specialize in family chiropractic care (which covers a large range of wellness practices for those of all ages including chiropractic, medical and massage services), they also:
- offer community services like yoga classes
- often run specials on holidays (for example, free care for veterans on Veteran's Day)
- bring local authors in for readings and host special events.
- offer mental health and substance abuse service referrals to their patients and
- provide integrative health care by having a second medical doctor, Doctor Robert Sessoms, who works with Doctor Farris.
Doctor Aneesah N. Farris and her team believe that wellness happens on every level and they provide as many resources as possible to the local community so that they can have access to that wellness for their mind, body and soul.

Another type of community outreach that Doctor Farris and Helping Hands participates in is through education. While Doctor Farris herself is constantly furthering her own education, she also finds it important to ensure that those around her have access to it as well. Doctor Farris achieves this by:
- accepting interns into her practice to fulfill their education
- bringing in local authors to host children's reading events
- visiting local schools to give speeches and meet students (for example, Reign Academy School of Entrepreneurship in Ormond)
- contributing to fundraisers for the PACE Center for Girls and the Mainland High School Football Initiative Program
- hosting no cost physicals for schools at her practice
"Doctor" comes from the Latin word for "teacher" and this is an idea Dr. Aneesah N. Farris embodies.
Recently, she has launched a new series called "The Chiropractic Connection with Dr. Farris" that is available on Roku Smart Tv and on pbntoday.com that will allow even more individuals to be reached by her services.
Episode 1 is officially airing this week under the Lifestyle Channel.

"Dr. Aneesah N. Farris, is the owner and chiropractic physician of Helping Hands Family Chiropractic, in Daytona Beach Florida . Dr. Farris is the oldest of 6 children and grew up in urban Buffalo, New York. She attended Bennett High School, in which she graduated as the class Valedictorian, in the year 2000. She attended the "Great" Bethune Cookman University, where she received a bachelor's degree of Biology, in 2004.
Since graduation she has earned several alumna distinctions. Dr. Farris has been given the award of distinguished alumna, and has the honor of being recognized as a 40 under 40 award recipient. While a student at Bethune, she worked as a certified nursing assistant, where she first learned the art of compassion in health care. Today she claims this is her most valuable asset to the patient.
Dr. Farris earned her masters degree in health care administration, from the University of Phoenix in 2010, and her doctor of chiropractic medicine degree from the Palmer College of Chiropractic, Florida Campus. While at Palmer Dr. Farris served as a Campus Guide, student ambassador, she served as the secretary for the Student American Black Chiropractic Association, and is a member of the Florida Chiropractic Association. Dr. Farris also enjoys working in community health providing chiropractic care to mental health patients and underserved populations.
Dr. Farris enjoys educating the community about chiropractic medicine. Dr. Farris serves as a community chiropractor providing primary care chiropractic, focusing on internal disease and disorders, pediatrics, women's health, injury care, rehabilitation, DOT physicals, weight loss, smoking cessation, patient education, and a host of other wellness interventions.

Being a servant leader is a core value of Dr. Farris, she is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc, Tau Chi Omega- Deland FL Chapter. Dr. Farris currently resides in Palm Coast , Florida, with her three boys, daughter and husband, where they enjoy traveling, going to amusement parks, sporting activities, shopping and reading together as a family."
