My name is Savannah Kater. I acquired Macaroni Kid Daytona from a previous publisher at the beginning of October 2021 & am working to make it the go-to source for all of the amazing events, hidden gems & anything happening in our area! As a brand new mom, I've been exploring this community & learning more about the stroller-friendly parks in the area, the family centered events & all of the businesses that are locally owned from Ormond to Edgewater. In the past ten years, I have traveled the world attending writing conferences with Stetson University and am now ready to travel from town to town in Volusia County on my next adventure exploring all that it has to offer.
While attending Stetson (located in Deland, FL with a new writing program in NSB), I received my second Masters in Creative Writing at the Atlantic Center for the Arts. When I saw the opportunity to become the new publisher for Macaroni Kid Daytona, I knew it was the perfect opportunity to turn my love for my writing, my love for our community and my newly discovered love of being a mom into my new company! I am passionate about everything Macaroni Kid stands for and that is connecting the community, keeping local families in-the-know about what is happening and supporting local businesses. As the new publisher for this area, I take that responsibility seriously! I can't wait to start this adventure with all of you and help you explore all of the towns around us!
