Happiness is a journey that starts when you’re a baby - Chicco Review

You might be familiar with Chicco’s (pronounced Kee-Ko, yeah I know I have been saying it wrong for years too lol) KeyFit 30 Infant Car Seat, which has been ranked #1 for many years, and NextFit Convertible Car Seat along with a full line of playards, highchairs, car seats, strollers and more.
Chicco is now launching the Fit2! Not familiar with the Fit2? Well check it out!

The Fit2 is a first-of-its-kind rear-facing Car Seat designed with two unique positions to accommodate infants and toddlers, making it easy to stay rear-facing for the first two years. A built in stage-position lever lifts easily to convert the Car Seat base from Stage 1 to Stage 2 with one motion, creating more upright, spacious seating for growing toddlers.

In Stage 1, the Fit2 functions like a traditional rear-facing infant seat, offering more reclined seating with removable head and body support to accommodate newborns and smaller infants from 0 to 12 months. In Stage 2, the Fit2 easily transitions to offer a more mature seating position and extended leg room for toddlers from 9 to 24 months - without taking up extra space in the vehicle! A 7-position headrest and padded no-rethread harness provide adjustability to accommodate growth throughout both stages.

Thanks to an intelligent 2-stage design, the Fit2 easily converts from infant to toddler position using the built-in stage-position lever, all without taking up additional space in your vehicle.

The Fit2 is compatible with most Chicco strollers to seamlessly fit your travel needs, including Chicco’s latest introductions, the BravoFor2, Bravo, Viaro and Urban Strollers.

You can find the Fit2 exclusively available online and in stores at Babies”R”Us for $279.99.

What you may also not be too familiar with is that Chicco stands by the AAP in recommending that children ride rear-facing for at least 2 years. This is why they’re launching a new campaign next month to increase the number of children who ride rear-facing longer by empowering parents to celebrate and share their efforts to keep their kids rear-facing. It is aptly called #TurnAfter2

Chicco wants parents to share how they’re keeping their children riding rear-facing for two years or longer – whether they opt for a Fit2™, or infant and convertible car seat combination, by using the #TurnAfter2 hashtag on social media to share photos of their rear-facing-riding kids, in an effort to inspire other parents to keep their kids rear-facing for as long as possible.
While I myself have not used Chicco brand car seats I have many friends that have and even some of the mamas at our baby brunch do too! Their main complement is that they feel safe knowing that their babies and children are in a time tested, mom testified, quality product. I hope you will check them out too!
