Free Sports Physicals for Volusia & Flagler Students
AdventHealth helps families prepare for sports season safely
Thousands of middle and high school students across Volusia and Flagler counties can receive free sports physicals this spring through AdventHealth.
These physicals are required for participation in school sports, band, JROTC, and other extracurricular activities. Students will also have access to a free electrocardiogram (ECG), a quick test that checks the heart’s electrical activity.
This initiative is part of a longstanding partnership between AdventHealth, Volusia County Schools, and Flagler Schools to support student health and safety.
Why This Matters for Families
These screenings help families avoid the last-minute rush for appointments before the school year begins.
More importantly, they can identify potential health concerns early. Last year alone, clinicians identified teens who needed follow-up care, including some requiring immediate medical attention.

These screenings helped identify students who needed additional care, ensuring they could safely return to the activities they love.
